Food Trip: KASASILOG SA DANAO CITY!

Silog is a class of Filipino breakfast dish that has fried rice (sinangag) and fried egg. They are served with various viands (ulam) usually with meat dishes such as; tapa, longganisa or ham. The former three would be known as tapsilog, longsilog ang hamsilog.

Due to the popularity of this type of cuisine, some fast food chains in the Philippines and hotels have included "silog" on their breakfast menu. Tapsilog is the most ordered among silog items. Tap is the abbreviation of the word "tapa", a beef or pork that is marinated with salt and other spices dried out in the sun which is best served with native vinegar.

"KasaSilog", is Danao City's own version of tapsilog that originated from the most renowned Ms. Lynette Tapayan's  "Kasahos", carabao beef tapa located in Rizal St., Poblacion near the formerly known as "Sabungan" (cockpit). The new marketing strategy has make wave, as it makes Kasahos readily available together with sinangag and fried egg; a new option for Kasahos patrons who's always on-the-go.

KasaSilog and along with its others silog viands; SangSilog, HumSilog and ToSilog are on Order Base during weekdays through Ms. Van-van Tapayan. And will be readily be available during weekends at Lynette Tapayan's Kasahos sa Danao. | bp
